*ATTENTION: THE FOLLOWING IS A TRANSCRIPT OF AN INTERVIEW FROM THE FOLCARE FISHERIES CASE, 2021.*

DETECTIVE MARZ: Friday, August 18, 4:31 P.M. Recording. Macy, looking into Martil’s past transactions and behaviour over the last couple of years...they’re not helping her case. We found new evidence of her interactions with Fred Songs - yes, he was notorious for further dealing on the Beach.
I remember him. Regular customer.
MACY: And?
DETECTIVE MARZ: And he admitted that she was his supplier. But Martil…do you know what her greatest weakness is? It’s pride. She gets into a position of power all based on greed...so full of herself thinking she won’t get caught. And she’s...what’s the word- oh, blinded. She starts to get careless with the money...she doesn’t hide her steps very well. And...I hate it. Hate the fact.
MACY: ...what fact?
DETECTIVE MARZ: The fact that everything...everything leads back to you.
No. Not today please not today-
DETECTIVE MARZ: the extra cash Martil used when the drug prices inflated...she embezzled it from the Halton company, didn’t she. That is a federal offense, Macy. And you were involved. You took that money, cleaned it by putting it onto the Johnson account - the fake one Martil created. One hundred dollars at a time. We’ve got the surveillance tapes from the bank. If just tell me why-
MACY: H-How could I have done that? I-I never was involved in drugs or-or cleaning money- I’ve n-never even been to the Shoffer bank in my life!
DETECTIVE MARZ: Shoffer bank?
No. No no no no no no n-
DETECTIVE MARZ: I’m going to need to stay now, Macy. This is no longer voluntary...A-Are you crying? Macy-
MACY: It’s all m-my fault. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.
DETECTIVE MARZ: It’s a lot. I know. Would you like some water?
MACY: Yes, p-please.

DETECTIVE MARZ: Macy, you can tell me. She won’t hurt you...I can help you. But only if you tell me what really went down.
MACY: ...Ok. Martil just - she just told me to do it.
DETECTIVE MARZ: To clean the money? And you agreed?
MACY: Y-yes. And I agreed because...because-
DETECTIVE MARZ: She gave you a cut.
MACY: ...
DETECTIVE MARZ: Did she offer anything else? Anything to your family-
MACY: She threatened me. I-If I told...She said she could take the money back. Give my parents a bad name...or worse. She knows a lot of people that owe her favours, but she could do it herself if she wanted.
DETECTIVE MARZ: By do it herself you mean-
MACY: She had two guns. Sometimes kept one on her. She showed me them. Told me she’s pulled the trigger before. She could get me - easily. My parents.
My sister.
DETECTIVE MARZ: Macy...I...I’m so sorry.
MACY: She really can’t hurt me now?
DETECTIVE MARZ: No. I promise.
